"The Leitrim Thrush", in Gaelic "Smolac Liat-Druim/Droma", also known as<br> "Ballinasloe Fair" is an Irish reel in A Minor ('A' part) & C Major ('B' part).<br> The parts are played AB (O'Neill/1850 & 1001) or AABB' (O'Neill/Krassen).<br> O'Neill also printed a variant of the reel under the title<br> "Ballinasloe Fair."<br> Seamus Ennis popularized the tune, especially among pipers.<br> It was printed in Krassen's O'Neill's Music of Ireland (1976),<br> O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903) and<br> Dance Music of Ireland: 1001 Gems (1907).<br> It was recorded by The Old Hat Dance Band on The Old Hat Dance Band (1992),<br> Frankie Gavin on Up And Away (1983),<br> Seamus Ennis on Strains On Winds Once Blown - Volume 1: Pure Drop (1973) and<br> Néil Mulligan on The Leitrim Thrush (1997). <br>
